Company Overview Crown Park Golf Club is a vibrant 18-hole public golf course dedicated to providing an exceptional golfing experience. Located at 2225 Hwy 9 West, Longs SC 29568, we pride ourselves on maintaining a beautiful and well-kept course for players of all skill levels. Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Golf Course Assistant Superintendent to join our team. In this role, you will support the overall maintenance and aesthetic quality of the golf course, ensuring optimal playability and visual appeal. You will work closely with the superintendent to oversee daily operations, supervise maintenance staff, and implement landscaping and turf management strategies that uphold our high standards. Duties Assist in planning and executing landscape maintenance, turf care, and general groundskeeping activities across the course Supervise maintenance crews, providing leadership and guidance to ensure efficient workflow and quality standards Oversee irrigation systems, ensuring proper watering schedules and troubleshooting issues as needed Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, fertilizing, aerating, and pest control to maintain healthy turf conditions Coordinate tree care, pruning, and removal to promote safety and aesthetic appeal Support construction projects related to course improvements or new landscaping features Conduct regular inspections of course conditions, identifying areas needing repair or enhancement Skills Strong knowledge of landscape maintenance, horticulture, and gardening practices Experience supervising teams within landscaping or turf management environments Proficiency in lawn care techniques including mowing, fertilization, aeration, and pest management Familiarity with irrigation systems and troubleshooting irrigation issues Ability to perform construction-related tasks such as grading or installing new features Pesticide License or ready to obtain it. Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff effectively Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and vendors Join us to help craft a pristine golf course environment where players can enjoy their game amidst beautifully maintained grounds. Pay:
$40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
