Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Grounds Superintendent to lead our landscape and grounds maintenance team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in landscaping, horticulture, and grounds management, with a strong focus on supervising teams to maintain beautiful, safe, and well-kept outdoor environments. This role offers an opportunity to oversee comprehensive grounds care operations, including lawn care, tree care, irrigation systems, and general maintenance, ensuring the highest standards of appearance and safety. Duties Oversee daily landscape maintenance activities including mowing, pruning, planting, fertilization, and pest control to ensure pristine grounds. Supervise and mentor grounds staff, providing leadership and training to promote efficiency and high-quality work. Develop and implement landscaping plans that enhance the aesthetic appeal and functionality of outdoor spaces. Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and system maintenance for optimal plant health. Coordinate with construction teams for site improvements or new installations while maintaining safety standards. Conduct regular inspections of grounds to identify issues such as disease or damage, implementing timely solutions. Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to landscaping equipment and procedures. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inventories of tools and supplies, and schedules for ongoing projects. Experience Proven experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping, or grounds management with a focus on horticulture or related fields. Supervising experience leading teams in outdoor environments or construction settings. Strong knowledge of lawn care techniques, tree care practices, irrigation systems, and gardening principles. Familiarity with construction processes related to outdoor site improvements is preferred. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams effectively. Knowledge of safety protocols for operating landscaping equipment and handling hazardous materials. Experience working with horticultural tools and maintaining sustainable outdoor environments is highly desirable. Pay:
$45,760.00 - $47,840.00 per year
