As a Hardscape Crew Leader at The Greathouse Company. This is a working leader role boots on the ground, hands in the work, and eyes on quality from start to finish. With over 45 years of trusted landscaping experience, we're known for delivering projects that are both technically sound and highly customized. You'll play a key role in making that happen. In this role, you will lead a team of skilled workers to execute high-quality hardscape projects, including patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other stone or concrete features. Your leadership will ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your expertise in landscaping and construction while inspiring your team to deliver exceptional results. Responsibilities Lead and supervise a hardscape crew on daily job site operations Interpret project plans, blueprints, and design specifications accurately Execute installations including pavers, concrete, retaining walls, and outdoor features Ensure precise site layout, grading, and measurements for proper drainage and structural integrity Maintain quality control standards throughout all phases of installation Train, mentor, and develop crew members to improve skill sets and efficiency Coordinate with project managers to ensure timelines and expectations are met Operate and oversee the safe use of tools, equipment, and machinery Communicate effectively with team members and leadership regarding progress and challenges Uphold company standards for safety, cleanliness, and professionalism on all job sites Experience Strong working knowledge of paver installation, concrete work, retaining walls, and drainage systems Ability to prepare bases, set grades, and ensure long-term durability of installations Proficiency in reading plans and performing accurate measurements Ability to establish elevations, slopes, and alignments using levels, lasers, and layout tools Experience with forming, pouring, and finishing concrete Understanding of curing processes and environmental considerations Proven ability to lead, motivate, and hold a crew accountable Strong decision-making skills in a fast-paced, hands-on environment Ability to adapt to site conditions and troubleshoot issues in real time Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor conditions Experience operating skid steers, compactors, saws, and other hardscape equipment
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in hardscape installation with leadership responsibilities Familiarity with project management processes and job site coordination Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ideal Candidate Profile You're someone who takes ownership of your work, leads from the front, and understands that precision and quality are non-negotiable.
