Lawn Care Supervisor

The Lawn Care and Landscape Supervisor is responsible for performing a variety of work tasks in order to manage the timely completion of lawn and garden maintenance contracts. The lawn care and landscape foreman will be required to supervise a crew of 2-3 people, operate a variety of tools and equipment to carry out specified job tasks, as well as provide daily progress reporting on job time and tasks completed.

Customer and quality focus Effective communication skills Team work Excellent problem solving abilities Responsibility and dependability Ethics and integrity Ability to train and lead Responsibilities Include Plan and manage the loading/unloading of trucks and trailers in the AM and PM including all daily labor, equipment and materials required to complete daily objectives Cut grass, trim edges, blow trimmings, and perform other lawn care duties Prune trees, shrubs, and hedges Move and install soil, mulch and plant material to assist with the building of landscape gardens and related areas Operate power equipment such as lawn mowers, line trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, pruning saws, sod cutters, and chain saws Supervise the work of crew members to ensure proper safety, quality, and productivity Inspect all work for quality to eliminate the need for return visits and/or re-work due to quality or customer satisfaction issues Train crew members on proper and safe job methods Conduct daily inspections of vehicles, tools, and equipment Complete and submit all required daily time tracking and job notes Ensure that all work activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner, and that all crew members are in compliance with government and company PPE standards Comply with all company policies Communicate with customers in a friendly manner Keep truck, tools and equipment clean and well maintain

Requirements Include:

Minimum 2 years' experience in the landscape maintenance industry Plant knowledge and identification, specifically trees, shrubs, and perennials Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner Excellent observational skills and a strong attention to detail Time management skills Ability to lead a team Ability to follow safe working procedures Valid driver's license and safe driving record Carry and use a smart phone or data-enabled device for communication and reporting

Work Conditions:
