Landscape Construction Team Leader TigerTree — Laramie, Wyoming Full-Time |
Year-Round Position Schedule:
Monday-Thursday | 7:00am-5:00pmPay:
$25-$30/hour DOE TigerTree is looking for a capable, steady, good-humored person to lead landscape installation projects. This role is a strong fit for someone with an outdoor construction background who enjoys building things, solving problems, working with a crew, and seeing a project come together from rough site conditions into something solid, useful, and beautiful. This person does not need to have done every type of landscape installation before. We can teach sod, irrigation, planting, drainage, tree care, and the finer points of our systems. What we do need is someone who understands outdoor work, tools, materials, grade, equipment, and how to keep a crew moving toward completion. A background in landscape construction, excavation, hardscaping, ranch work, fencing, equipment operation, outdoor building, or general construction could all be useful. The best fit is someone who can learn across many kinds of work and become a reliable project leader. What this role does The Landscape Construction Team Leader runs landscape installation projects in the field. This includes organizing the day, delegating work, communicating with operations, working alongside the crew, solving site problems, and helping make sure the finished project matches the client's goals.Projects may include:
Sod installation Rock and mulch beds Patios, pathways, stairs, and retaining features Tree, shrub, and perennial planting Drainage and grading work Irrigation installation and repair Trenching, hauling, site prep, and cleanup Operating mini skid steers, skid steers, trenchers, dump trailers, and other equipment This person will need to think ahead about supplies, timing, crew assignments, weather, client needs, and order of operations. A strong candidate can picture the project in their head, break it into steps, and help the crew understand what needs to happen next. We are looking for someone who can Lead and motivate a small crew Delegate clearly and use crew members well Stay kind, steady, and productive when jobs get complicated Communicate with clients in a professional and helpful way Communicate with operations using technology and field notes Think ahead about materials, timing, equipment, and project needs Problem-solve around slope, drainage, grade, access, aesthetics, and client expectations Understand when to keep moving and when to ask for help Estimate time and effort on projects, or be willing to learn Work through imperfect weather and real-world jobsite conditions Maintain a good attitude while still pushing projects to completion A valid driver's license is required. Training and growth TigerTree invests in people who want to learn and grow long-term. This position may receive training in: Irrigation and low-voltage irrigation systems Paver and hardscape installation Pesticide applicator licensing in Wyoming and Colorado Tree care and arboriculture Equipment operation Bucket truck work, for those interested and suited to it This role can also build toward becoming a Certified Arborist after meeting the required industry experience.
