Groundskeeper

Job Overview We are looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented, and resilient Groundskeeper & Facilities Maintenance Assistant to join our larvae farming operation. In this role, you will be the backbone of our facility's presentation, hygiene, and biosecurity. Because we raise larvae, keeping the wrong kinds of pests out is just as important as keeping our facility clean. You will split your time between daily outdoor landscaping, rigorous rodent control management, and indoor sanitation. If you enjoy active, independent work and don't mind getting your hands dirty, this is the perfect spot for you. Key Responsibilities 1. Daily Grounds & Vegetation Maintenance Operate a weed eater daily to maintain the perimeter and exterior areas of the facility. Ensure all walkways, fence lines, and structural borders are clear of high grass and overgrowth to eliminate potential pest harborage. 2. Rodent Control & Biosecurity (Heavy Focus) Conduct daily inspections of all pest control and bait stations across the property. Manage, monitor, and maintain both poison bait stations and glue traps. Safely and humanely remove and dispose of any dead rats or rodents in accordance with facility bio-hazard protocols. Regularly replenish and refill poison, bait, and traps to ensure 100% protective coverage. 3. Facility Sanitation & Janitorial Duties Maintain a spotless indoor environment across breakrooms, corridors, and designated production support areas. Perform daily floor care, including sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping. Wipe down, sanitize, and dust surfaces, counters, and high-touch areas to maintain hygiene standards.

Qualifications & Requirements Experience:

Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or facility maintenance is preferred. Experience handling pest control or basic extermination tasks is a major plus. Stomach for the

Job:

You must be entirely comfortable handling dead rodents, dealing with pest control chemicals, and working in a facility that breeds insects.

Physical Stamina:

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and operate heavy lawn equipment (like weed eaters) for extended periods in various weather conditions.

Reliability & Autonomy:

Much of this job is self-directed. We need someone who can spot a problem, fix it, and keep a consistent daily routine without constant supervision.

Working Conditions Environment:

A mix of outdoor manual labor and indoor facility cleaning.

Schedule:

Full-time, daily shifts.

PPE Provided:

All necessary protective gear (gloves, masks, eyewear) for handling pest control chemicals and rodent removal will be fully provided by the company.

Pay:

$25.00 per hour
