Job Goal:

To maintain the grounds of all district schools in a condition of safety, neatness, and aesthetic attractiveness.

Responsibilities:

1. Cultivate, water, and trim lawns; assist in the planting, transplanting, and fertilizing of plants and shrubs. 2. Operate and maintain power mowers, power clippers, rototillers, weed eaters, and other maintenance equipment. 3. Spray shrubs, trees, and lawns; assist in the planting, transplanting, and fertilizing of plants and shrubs. 4. Use hand tools to work soil and to remove weeds, undergrowth, and debris from school grounds and landscapes. 5. Clean clogged sprinkler systems; help install sprinkler systems. 6. Minor repairs and replacement of time clocks and water valves. 7. Line athletic fileds for track events, football and baseball games. 8. Work with asphalt and cement installations. 9. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as directed by the immediate supervisor. 10. Must be able to lift 50 pounds 11. Must have valid AZ Drivers License

Terms of Employment:

Working Days-12 Month At-Will Agreement;10 hours per day/4 days per week. Benefits - All approved benefits for Classified Employees

Evaluation:

Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel. Reports to: Director of Plant Operations and Grounds Supervisor
