Job Summary The Groundskeeper performs a full range of grounds maintenance and gardening duties; assists in various related construction and landscaping projects; and prepares other special venues according to the user's request or published specifications. Essential Functions
  • Mows lawns, trims, prunes trees, fertilizes, maintains irrigation systems, waters, sweeps walkways and building entry ways.
  • Operates various grounds equipment such as tractors, mowers, edger's, trimmers, spreaders, aerators, top dressers, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Completion of formal or informal education or experience which assures the ability to read, write, and speak at a level sufficient for the successful completion of the job duties as described. Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working grounds maintenance in a college or large property (20 acres or more)
  • Experience using heavy equipment such as tractors and mowers Special Working Conditions
  • Travel to campus during the interview/selection process will be at candidate's own expense
  • Work outdoors in a variety of temperatures and environmental conditions
  • May be required to lift or carry up to 50 pounds
  • Possession of a valid State of Arizona Drivers License (Class D) is required
