Groundskeeper

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Groundskeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of an outside park area, ensuring that outdoor spaces are well-kept and inviting. This role requires a proactive approach to facilities maintenance, custodial duties, and general upkeep of the property. Responsibilities Conduct commercial and industrial cleaning to ensure all facilities meet health and safety standards. Act as a porter by ensuring that all areas are free of debris and hazards. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and perform minor repairs when necessary. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and high standards of cleanliness. Cleaning, sanitizing, deodorizing, and stocking restroom facilities. Clear any sink, urinal, floor drain, or toilet drain of obstruction. Utilize 15-foot plumbing snake and plunger for clearing plumbing obstructions. Make minor repairs such as tightening loose bolts, nuts, and screws, and unclogging toilets. Windows and light fixtures will be cleaned as necessary. Sweep sidewalks Weeds shall be controlled as needed. Rake pine needles, pinecones, and leaves, and remove from SRRA and properly dispose of. Picnic tables and benches shall be cleaned thoroughly with soap and disinfectant to remove dirt, food particles, grease, animal droppings, and stains. Remove graffiti Leave the work site in a clean and neat condition. Dispose of Hypodermic needles found Turn in any item of value found on the premises Remove and transport all litter and garbage to a public dump site. Requirements Previous experience in facilities maintenance or custodial work is preferred. Knowledge of commercial cleaning practices and industrial cleaning techniques is a plus. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. A positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively within a team environment.
