In this energetic role, you'll assist with a variety of landscaping projects, from planting and lawn care to installation and maintenance. Your hands-on work will help create inviting landscapes that enhance the beauty and usability of residential and commercial properties. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in landscape maintenance, gardening, and construction while working outdoors in a fast-paced, rewarding environment. Duties Assist with landscape installation including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and installing hardscape features such as patios and walkways Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, trimming, and aerating to maintain healthy turf Conduct landscape maintenance activities including pruning, tree trimming, fertilizing, and irrigation system installation or repair Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks like digging, trenching, and soil preparation Maintain equipment such as excavators, lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, and irrigation tools through routine inspections and basic repairs Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and colleagues. Bi-weekly training provided. Requirements Active California Driver's license preferred but not required Authorized to work in the United States A minimum of two years experience in commericial landscape maintenance/care Must be 18 years or older Must be able to work around minor youth of 18 years and under Knowledge to operate and troubleshoot landscaping equipment and power tools Experience in lawn care, gardening, or landscape maintenance is required Experience in landscaping techniques including planting, hardscape installation, and irrigation systems is required Experience in herbicides, insecticides, and rodenticides is preferred but not required Ability to use hand tools effectively and safely in various outdoor tasks Knowledge of tree care practices such as trimming and pruning Physical stamina to perform outdoor labor in different weather conditions; ability to lift heavy materials (75 lbs or more) when needed Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety standards Prior experience with construction or horticulture is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their skills in landscaping while contributing to beautiful outdoor environments.
