Laborer - Ponds, Water Features, Landscaping

Join an award-winning team creating nature inspired water features. Responsible for execution of pond and water feature construction, maintenance, clean-outs to customers; as well as providing superior service to customers in OC, IE and parts of LA & SD Counties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Participate in the construction of water features o Excavation of pond o Hook up plumbing, Biofalls and skimmer o Install liner and underlayment o Rock in pond o Build waterfall o Install underwater lighting o Wash rocks and fill pond o Trim and hide liner, bring in top soil, landscaping and mulch o Thoroughly clean area Assist with loading and unloading work trucks with product and tools Perform any other tasks as assigned Assist service department during busy seasonal times o Perform pond maintenance and repairs including netting debris, scrubbing, backwashing and other unpleasant tasks such as cleaning fish and other animal waste. Report Maintenance issues with vehicles and machines Maintain and keep correct inventory of tools Keep trailer, vehicles, and construction area neat and organized Comply with company safety policy, procedure, and practices Special projects as requested Execution of pond maintenance and clean-outs Pond repairs and improvements as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

18-years or older Valid Driver's License Available to work Monday - Friday 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Some weekend work may be required throughout the year Ability to travel to multiple site locations to meet the needs of the business Able to regularly lift 50 lbs. Must be able to bend, stoop and squat throughout an 8-12 hour shift Willing to get hands dirty and work outside in all kinds of weather Safety-conscious Good communication skills Ideal candidate will be creative, self-motivated, able to follow direction and a team player Knowledge of pond industry a plus but not required The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. and be able to bend, stoop and squat throughout an 8-10 hour shift.
