Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Arrive on time in appropriate uniform, willing to work. Read posted daily assignments and/or attend morning department meetings. Morning stretch out. Gather/load equipment for assigned duties. Clean walkways and grounds by sweeping and removing all trash. Maintain plants by watering, fertilizing and trimming away dead or diseased leaves. Install and repair plants as needed. Apply herbicides and insecticides when necessary. Maintain turf areas, including raking, mowing, aerating and fertilizing. Maintain pots by cleaning, repairing or painting. Install, repair irrigation systems and program irrigation timers. Report any special needs, problems or damage to plants immediately. Maintain your assigned toolbox in an orderly neat and safe condition. Maintain all departmental tools and vehicles washed and clean at all times. Properly store and make simple repairs to any equipment after each use. Provide information and directions to guests upon request. Comply with all Pebble Beach Company safety and health policies and procedures.

Absolutely Required Skills:

Ability to identify various plant materials required. Must possess skills in installation, maintenance, planting, weeding, irrigation and pesticide application. Able to communicate clearly to staff, managers and guests required. Able to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting for entire shift. Certificate in ornamental horticulture or equivalent preferred. 1+ years of experience required in maintaining large volume plants. Valid California driver's license. Why work for
