The Grounds Maintenance Worker II may oversee the activities of a grounds crew in the absence of a Lead Grounds Maintenance Worker. Requirements / Qualifications Job-related education necessary to perform the essential job duties is typically consistent with graduation from high school or equivalent. Journey-level experience in grounds maintenance, preferably in a school, industrial, or commercial setting where knowledge of methods, materials and equipment used in grounds maintenance has been acquired. Experience operating equipment and tools in grounds maintenance. Experience performing sports field lining preferred. Valid California Class C Driver License. Exam components may consist of multiple choice test (weight: 70%), and a Qualifications Appraisal Interview (weight: 30%). The competitive basis for this recruitment is Open/Promotional - Dual Certification. Candidates who pass all exams are placed on an eligibility list in order of overall exam score. The list is used to fill current and future vacancies for six months. If a candidate has taken the multiple choice and/or performance test for this San Dieguito Union High School District job title or similar job title within the past two years, candidate may be able to transfer the scores to this recruitment. The exam must be sufficiently similar, as determined by the Director, Classified Personnel.
