Garden Associate (on-site seasonal position in Cromberg, CA)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Garden Associate Reports to: Garden Manager

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Garden Associate is responsible for assisting the maintenance and upkeep of the immaculate grounds and gardens on the Twenty Mile House grounds. The goal is to treat every day like a wedding day, to contribute to the magic of the wedding day, and to contribute to fulfilling a dream wedding for each couple. You will work closely with the Garden Manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Planting/Maintaining/Creating General Maintenance:

weeding, mulching, edging, and leaf removal

Plant Care:

pruning shrubs, deadheading flowers, and monitoring plant health Trimming and fertilizing plants as needed

Seasonal Cleanup:

spring bed preparation and autumn leaf/debris clearing

Lawn Care:

maintaining lawns as needed Pine needles/pine cone removal

Soil and Watering:

amending soil and managing irrigation/watering schedules

Grounds Upkeep:

general upkeep of grounds to maintain TMH standards

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Excellent attention to detail Works well with teammates Listens to directions and is self-driven Knowledge of plants, soil types, and processes of growing and caring for plants preferred, but not required Very reliable

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work outside in various locations of the grounds and cabin properties. May experience direct sunlight at times. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.

HOURS :

Part time, seasonal; 3 six hour shifts per week on average, typically from 8am-2pm, but may vary depending on calendar and candidate availability

Working Conditions:

Work in an outdoor venue wooded environment with changing weather when working on company grounds. May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
