Job Description

Master Association for Rancho La Quinta is seeking a motivated and skilled landscaper to join our growing team. This role will demonstrate and reflect Master Association for Rancho La Quinta culture and philosophy in all interactions and in all facets of operations. The essential job duties, knowledge, skills and abilities listed below are required of the job as it is currently being performed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following: Maintain landscapes throughout golf course, association amenities, residential homes and common areas to include but not limited to weeding, lawn mowing, and string trimming, edging, mulching, fertilizing, pruning, and raking. Install new landscape plantings and annual color (i.e. spring and fall) at residential homes, on the golf course, and around the club. Water and maintain new plantings as well as annual plantings. Participate in leaf removal during dormant seasons, as needed, throughout property. Basic knowledge of proper chemical and fertilizer applications to maintain a healthy and aesthetically pleasing landscape. Safe operation of all hand tools, large and small equipment such as push mowers, zero turn mowers, skid steer, tractors and mini-excavator. Keep all work areas orderly and neat. Assist with landscape projects as requested. Participate in daily set-up/closing of the departments' tools and equipment. Report any safety or maintenance issues immediately to the Landscape Manager Attend department meetings and trainings as necessary. Other job duties as assigned. Required Technical / Other Skills / Licenses Prior experience in landscaping, preferably within a residential or hospitality environment. Ability to operate landscape machinery such as push rotary mowers, string trimmers, backpack blowers, utility vehicles, and riding mowers. Plant knowledge/Horticultural Practices knowledge a plus. Possess a valid driver's license and ability to operate vehicles properly and safely Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
