The role requires strict compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including Cal/OSHA standards. The ideal candidate performs all duties with professionalism, accuracy, and the highest level of respect for decedents and families. Key Responsibilities Cemetery Operations & Interments Perform interments in accordance with all regulations and safety standards Assist with grave preparation and closing procedures Operate equipment and tools used in cemetery operations Perform routine grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, planting, irrigation, and general upkeep Place, set, and remove memorials and monuments Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas Support the overall appearance and safety of cemetery property Work closely with funeral home and cemetery staff during services and interments Professional Development Opportunity Opportunity for future training in crematory operations to assist as backup or fill-in support when needed Qualifications Required Bilingual - English and Spanish High school diploma or equivalent Valid California driver's license with acceptable driving record Comfortable navigating new software and cloud-based platforms Ability to lift 50-75 lbs and perform physically demanding work indoors and outdoors Availability to work weekends, holidays, and on-call hours Preferred Prior experience in cemetery operations, construction, landscaping, or grounds maintenance Experience with interments and cemetery operations Experience operating light equipment or machinery Physical & Environmental Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting Outdoor work in varying weather and terrain Exposure to equipment, machinery, and maintenance products Benefits 401(k) Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance
