Full time - M-F, Every other weekend Job description Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assist in the maintenance and construction of new greens, tees and fairways: activities include but are not limited to, grading, preparing soil and planting. Operate motorized equipment including riding mowers, tractors and utility vehicles in a safe, efficient manner. Operate hand held power tools in a safe, efficient manner. Apply fertilizer, surfactants, water and pesticides as directed. Maintain turf, shrubs and trees. Perform regular maintenance activities including, but not limited to, changing cups, raking sand bunkers, tee placement, trash and debris clean-up. Attend department meetings as required Display a professional appearance and attitude at all times Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Working knowledge of tools, methods and materials used in golf course and grounds landscape construction and maintenance work. Demonstrated skill to safely operate trucks and motorized equipment. Education and/or Experience Previous golf or landscape maintenance experience preferred Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to speak one-on-one effectively to internal and external customers. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
