Actively Recruiting:
Landscaper Crew Lead Pay:
$25.00-$35.00 per hour (DOE) We're seeking an experienced Landscaper Crew Lead to join our team! This is a working leadership position where you'll lead by example, working side-by-side with the crew performing hands-on landscaping duties including digging, planting, pruning, irrigation work, mowing, trimming, and general landscape maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support landscaping crews while actively participating in daily field work Research, identify, and diagnose plant diseases, pests, and landscape health issues Provide expert care for trees, shrubs, flowers, lawns, and other plant materials, including proper planting, pruning, fertilization, watering, and maintenance practices Ability to develop landscape and irrigation designs, including plant selection and layout planning Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and map irrigation systems Demonstrate strong knowledge of native California plant species and sustainable landscaping practices Safely operate equipment including skid steers, excavators, chainsaws, and other landscaping machinery Organize daily work assignments, maintain quality standards, and ensure job site safety
Qualifications:
2+ years of professional landscaping experience Strong background in landscape design and irrigation design Knowledge of native plant species, plant health, and disease management Experience with irrigation systems, planting, hardscaping, and pesticide applications Ability to safely operate skid steers, excavators, and chainsaws Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills If you're passionate about landscaping, plant health, landscape design, and leading crews while staying hands-on in the field, we'd love to hear from you!
