In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, landscaping, repairing, and maintaining sophisticated irrigation systems that keep the greens, fairways, and roughs lush and vibrant. Your expertise will ensure optimal water distribution, contributing directly to the quality and playability of the course. Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as excavators. Conduct regular inspections of irrigation components to identify leaks, clogs, or malfunctions and perform necessary repairs promptly. Adjust watering schedules and system settings to optimize turf health while conserving water resources. Assist with general landscape maintenance tasks including lawn care, planting, fertilizing, and turf management to ensure the course remains in top condition. Operate construction equipment safely during system installations or upgrades, adhering to all safety protocols. Collaborate with groundskeeping staff to coordinate irrigation needs with overall landscape maintenance plans. Maintain detailed records of repairs, system modifications, and maintenance activities for ongoing system performance tracking. Requirements Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience working with irrigation systems and landscaping equipment. Familiarity with irrigation components such as valves, controllers, pipes, sprinklers, and pumps. Experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance or horticulture is highly desirable. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, excavators, and other construction machinery safely and efficiently. Knowledge of landscaping principles and turf management practices to support healthy golf course environments. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and implement effective solutions. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and report on maintenance activities.
