Golf Course Turf Maintenance Worker

SUMMARY Under supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent performs a wide variety of unskilled maintenance and construction work on the City's golf course. This is a seasonal position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs unskilled manual labor as required, along with assisting in the performance of semi-skilled and skilled work Works with hand tools necessary to maintain golf course, spray weeds, mows grass, irrigates May operate weed cutters, riding mowers, dump truck and pick-up truck May run hand power equipment including power mowers, compactors and chain saws; may paint miscellaneous equipment used in the operation of the department. performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE

Any combination of training and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and six months of general labor experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Proficient in English. Other languages helpful.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS PHYSICAL DEMANDS
