Landscape Laborer

Duties Assist with landscape maintenance activities including mowing, trimming, pruning, and edging to keep outdoor areas pristine. Operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and hoes to perform planting, weeding, and soil preparation tasks. Use power tools and equipment like lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and excavators safely and effectively. Support planting projects by preparing beds, planting trees and shrubs, and installing flowers or ground cover. Help construct hardscape features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and fire pits using appropriate tools and techniques. Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or clogs and assisting with system installation or repairs. Perform general site cleanup, debris removal, snow plowing during winter months, and routine maintenance of tools and equipment. Experience Prior experience in landscaping or gardening is preferred but not required; training will be provided for eager learners. Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with power tools and landscaping equipment is a plus. Knowledge of lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and pest control is beneficial. Experience with tree care such as trimming or pruning enhances your ability to contribute effectively. Basic understanding of horticulture principles helps ensure healthy plantings and landscape longevity. Ability to operate construction equipment like excavators or other machinery is advantageous but not mandatory.
