Job Opportunity:
Estate & Equestrian Intern Location:
Washington, CT (Bethlehem/Woodbury border)
Property:
75‑acre private estate & farm
Schedule:
Typically, 20-40 hours per week (7:30 AM
  • 5:00 PM window); occasional weekends required.
Start/end times and weekly hours may vary with weather and operational needs. The Opportunity We are seeking a motivated, hardworking intern to join our estate and equestrian team for the season. This is an excellent starter position for a high‑school senior, or college student interested in hands‑on experience in estate management and equestrian operations. The role offers direct mentorship under the barn and estate management staff. Exceptional interns may be considered for part‑time work during the school year. Primary Responsibilities
  • Barn & equestrian support: assist with horse care and barn maintenance under supervision.
  • Horticulture & grounds: weeding, planting, and seasonal garden maintenance.
  • Property organization: help organize and maintain estate buildings and storage.
  • General estate tasks: support daily operations to keep the 75‑acre property in excellent condition.
  • Assist with animal care routines including feeding, grooming, and handling a variety of equine and farm animals. Requirements
  • Age:
    minimum 16 years.
  • Attitude:
    ambitious, reliable, and willing to get dirty—this is a physical, outdoor role.
  • Experience:
    prior horse or gardening experience is a plus but not required—we will train the right person.
  • Availability:
    able to work within the 7:30 AM-5:00 PM window and occasional weekends; typical weekly hours are 20-40 but may change due to weather or operational needs.
Transportation:
reliable transportation to and from the property is required. Compensation Salary will be competitive and determined based on skills, experience, and demonstrated growth potential.

$17.00
