This is an entry-level position with the opportunity to learn a skilled trade—but you must be ready to work from day one. This is a fast-paced, physical, hands-on role. You will work alongside and take direction from a team leader who is actively working with the team. This is not a stand-around-and-watch position—you are expected to stay moving and contribute throughout the day. This role is primarily focused on drainage and irrigation, with additional landscape/hardscape construction and maintenance support as needed. You will be part of a fast-growing division within an established company. Responsibilities Assist with drainage installations (trenching, pipe, catch basins, backfill) Support irrigation installs and repairs Assist with landscape and hardscape construction projects Support maintenance team when needed Digging, grading, moving materials, and site cleanup Load/unload tools and materials Follow direction from the team leader to keep jobs running efficiently Work Expectations (Read Carefully) Show up on time, every day — no exceptions Work hard the entire shift and maintain a steady pace Take direction and apply it immediately Stay productive without needing constant instruction Be coachable and open to correction without attitude Willing to work across different types of jobs as needed Respect the team structure and pull your weight Qualifications / Skills Must know how to properly use basic hand tools (shovel, rake, tape measure, level, etc.) Familiar with basic electrical/irrigation tools (wire cutters, wire strippers, wire nuts) Familiar with plumbing/drainage tools and materials (pipe cutters, pipe fittings) Comfortable using power tools (concrete saws, sawzalls, drills, compactors) Mechanically inclined — able to understand how things fit together and follow direction Able to take instruction and complete tasks without constant supervision Strong work ethic and willingness to learn by doing Works well in a team environment Schedule & Availability Typical schedule is Monday-Thursday (10-hour days) Fridays are often required depending on workload Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on job demands Must be available for occasional emergency call-out work (not frequent, but required when needed) Training & Advancement Requirement Must complete an online drainage certification course within 30 days of start date Course is completed on your own time Must be able to complete the course independently Successful completion will result in a pay increase Physical Requirements Lift 50+ lbs regularly Work outdoors in Florida heat Dig, bend, and stay active all day Pay & Growth $16.50-$20/hour based on experience Pay increase available after completion of required drainage certification and demonstrated performance Opportunity to learn multiple trades (drainage, irrigation, site work) Be part of a fast-paced, fast-growing division of Dombrowski Property Maintenance Strong opportunity for advancement—this can become a long-term career for the right person Who This Job Is For Someone who wants to work hard, learn multiple skills, and build a career on a strong, growing team.
