Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Landscape Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and possess the skills necessary to maintain and enhance various landscapes. This role involves a variety of tasks including lawn care, landscape maintenance, and the operation of hand and power tools. The Landscape Laborer will contribute to creating beautiful outdoor spaces while ensuring the health and longevity of plants and landscapes. Responsibilities Perform routine lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, and trimming. Assist with landscape maintenance including planting, weeding, and mulching. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various landscaping tasks. Conduct tree care activities including tree trimming and removal as needed. Support hardscape projects by assisting in the installation of patios, walkways, and retaining walls. Maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns. Participate in snow plowing during winter months to keep properties accessible. Follow safety protocols while operating excavators and other machinery. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively. Requirements Mechanical knowledge is preferred for operating equipment and performing maintenance tasks. Experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is highly desirable. Familiarity with construction practices related to landscaping projects is a plus. Ability to operate various hand tools, power tools, and machinery safely (e.g., excavators). Strong physical stamina to perform labor-intensive tasks outdoors in varying weather conditions. Knowledge of irrigation systems and techniques is beneficial. A commitment to quality work with attention to detail in all landscaping activities. Willingness to learn new skills related to tree care, snow plowing, mowing, hardscape installation, and overall landscape management.
