Founded in 1980, EDJ provides commercial and residential tree trimming, tree removal, and related services. Position Summary EDJ Tree Service LLC is seeking a reliable and experienced Tree Maintenance Services Groundsman with a CDL to support tree crews in daily operations. This position plays a critical role in job site safety, equipment operation, and efficient workflow, while also serving as a CDL driver for company vehicles. Responsibilities Operate company vehicles, including chipper trucks, dump trucks, and equipment trailers Assist climbers and crew with tree trimming and removal operations Safely operate wood chippers, chainsaws, and other equipment Manage debris removal, including loading, hauling, and dumping Set up and maintain safe work zones, including traffic control when required Perform basic equipment checks and daily maintenance Maintain clean and organized job sites Perform other duties as assigned by the crew leader or management Requirements Valid CDL (Class A or B) — Required Minimum 1+ year of experience in tree service or related field preferred Experience operating chipper trucks and hauling trailers Ability to safely operate chainsaws and other equipment Strong understanding of job site safety practices Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in South Florida heat and weather conditions Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Clean driving record Authorized to work in the United States Preferred Qualifications Experience with tree service operations (removals, rigging, etc.) Familiarity with MOT (Maintenance of Traffic) setups OSHA or safety certifications Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Compensation and Benefits Hourly pay of $23.00 to $28.00, based on experience Full-time, steady work Paid holidays After one year of employment, two weeks of paid vacation during company shutdown Opportunities for advancement (climber/foreman roles) Professional, team-oriented environment
