Job Description
Golf Course Maintenance Crew Member - Kelly Plantation Golf Club Specific Responsibilities - All aspects of golf course maintenance upholding impeccable performance and appearance for Kelly Plantation members and guests. Team player. Work and collaborate with crew members on projects and daily tasks. Positive high energy attitude. Be coachable and embrace training with open mind to standards set by supervisors. Expected to become proficient in multiple aspects of our golf course maintenance tasks. Safely operate maintenance equipment is a must and critical to the success of our operation. Strong communication skills to ensure understanding of tasks and mechanical issues with supervisors. Must maintain professional appearance and provide member and guest customer service. Examples of maintenance work - Load and unload materials, debris, sod, and sand. Mow fairways, rough, greens, surrounds, clubhouse landscape. Rake bunkers. Tree work. Trash and water cooler change outs. Edging, gutters, drains, irrigation system repairs. Hand water sod and greens when needed. String trim lake banks and bunker surrounds. Weeds and brush removal. Back pack blow debris, leaves, and grass clippings. Assist in special projects. Physical Demands and Work Environment Requirements - Walk and stand for long periods of time. Lift up to 50 LBS. Lift objects overhead and push/ pull move heavy objects. Be exposed to outside weather conditions. We work in high and low temperatures. We work in the rain and the wind. Noise level of equipment can be loud and safety glasses are required. Typical day starts at 5:30 am and ends usually at 1:30pm. Weekend hours are available for overtime. We require one weekend morning. We have a culture of a positive team work environment. We work hard and have fun doing it. This is a tremendous opportunity to learn all aspects of golf course maintenance and grow with the crew. We would ideally like full time year round employees but will discuss part time help for the right fit.
