Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled to join our team as a Field Service Technician specializing in telecommunication and network infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing critical communication systems and equipment across various job sites. Your expertise will ensure seamless connectivity and reliable operation of fiber optic networks, cabling systems, and low voltage electrical infrastructure. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects involving heavy equipment operation, construction, and technical troubleshooting, all while delivering exceptional service to our clients. Responsibilities Perform field service tasks including installation, troubleshooting, and repair of telecommunication systems, fiber splicing, and network infrastructure components. Operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks and power tools safely to access elevated or hard-to-reach areas. Install and maintain cabling systems including Ethernet, LAN, WAN, and telephony infrastructure following schematics and technical specifications. Conduct climbing activities on utility poles or structures using appropriate safety protocols and climbing gear. Use hand tools and power tools to cut, strip, connect, and secure wiring or cabling in various environments. Interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and wiring diagrams to accurately execute installation or repair tasks. Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and project timelines while supporting IT infrastructure projects. Skills Extensive experience in field service operations within telecommunication or IT infrastructure sectors. Proficiency in heavy equipment operation including bucket trucks used for elevated installations. Strong knowledge of fiber splicing techniques and cabling practices for high-speed data networks. Familiarity with computer networking concepts such as LAN (Local Area Network), Ethernet connections, WAN (Wide Area Network), and low voltage electrical systems. Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams accurately. Skilled in climbing structures safely using appropriate safety gear and techniques.
