Job Description
Overview In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing landscapes through expert gardening, lawn care, and landscaping techniques. Your enthusiasm for horticulture and outdoor work will help us deliver exceptional results to our clients. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in irrigation, landscape maintenance, and the use of various hand and power tools while working in a vibrant environment that values your contributions. Responsibilities Maintains and improves facility grounds based on established sustainability guidelines Applies planned designs to resolve landscaping needs Performs tasks such as planting, mowing, weeding, fertilizing, sweeping, raking. Operates various types of equipment including power mowers, saws, weed eaters, hedge trimmers, sprayers, etc May be required to operate trucks, tractors and attachments used to maintain grounds as needed Responsible for cleaning and upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, etc Helps load outgoing landscape trailers Performs regular maintenance and minor repairs on lawn equipment and tools Adheres to all safety policies and procedure and reports any malfunctions/defects to supervisor immediately Requirements Prior experience or strong interest in irrigation systems, landscape maintenance, or gardening Knowledge of horticulture principles and best practices for lawn care and landscaping Ability to operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, as well as power tools like trimmers and blowers safely Familiarity with landscape maintenance routines including mowing, edging, pruning, and fertilizing Strong physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive attitude toward plant health and landscape aesthetics Valid driver's license is preferred but not required; willingness to learn new skills is essential
