Full Job Description Guardian Of Orlando Landscaping, Irrigation, and Maintenance Position:
Grounds Tech Job Summary:
As a Grounds Tech for Guardian of Orlando Landscaping, Irrigation, and Maintenance, you will be responsible for maintaining the appearance and health of our clients' landscapes. This means doing things like mowing the lawn, trimming the hedges, watering the plants, and keeping the irrigation systems in good shape. You will work under the supervision of our Lead Ground Tech and collaborate with other members of our team to ensure that our clients' properties are well-cared for and meet their expectations.
Responsibilities:
Mow and edge lawns, trim hedges, and perform other tasks to maintain the appearance of our clients' landscapes. Monitor and adjust irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants. Plant new vegetation and maintain existing plantings. Apply pesticides and fertilizers as needed. Perform regular maintenance on landscaping equipment and tools. Communicate with clients to understand their expectations and address any concerns they may have. Follow safety procedures and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others on the team.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. At least one year of experience in landscaping or a related field. Knowledge of plant care, irrigation systems, and landscaping equipment. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel.
Work Environment:
This position will require you to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cold. You will also be exposed to potential hazards such as pesticides and power tools. Appropriate safety gear and training will be provided.
