In this energetic position, you will assist with tree care, trimming, and landscape maintenance while supporting the safe operation of equipment such as bucket trucks and bucket lifts. Your enthusiasm and growing experience in horticulture and arboriculture will help ensure safety, efficiency, and aesthetic excellence across our projects. This paid role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in tree care, rigging, GIS (Geographic Information Systems), and landscape maintenance while contributing to vibrant outdoor spaces. Responsibilities Assist with tree trimming, pruning, and removal using proper techniques to promote tree health and safety. Operate bucket trucks and bucket lifts safely to access high branches or difficult-to-reach areas. Support rigging operations for the safe lowering of large limbs or trees during removal or pruning. Conduct ground-based tasks including lawn care, landscape maintenance, and general site cleanup. Use GIS tools to assist with mapping and documenting tree locations and landscape features. Maintain equipment such as hand tools, power tools, and safety gear to ensure optimal performance. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents during tree work and equipment operation. Requirements Growing experience or background in horticulture, arboriculture, or landscaping is preferred. Knowledge of tree care practices including trimming, pruning, and general tree health assessment. Ability to operate bucket trucks and bucket lifts safely; certification in bucket operation is a plus. Familiarity with rigging techniques for lifting or lowering heavy limbs or trees. Basic understanding of GIS applications related to landscape or tree mapping is advantageous. Strong work ethic with a focus on safety, teamwork, and attention to detail. Physical ability to perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions; willingness to learn new skills related to landscaping and land management.
