Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Estate Gardener to maintain and enhance the beauty of expansive estate grounds. In this role, you will be responsible for cultivating lush gardens, managing landscape features, and ensuring the overall health and aesthetics of outdoor spaces. Your expertise will help create a vibrant, welcoming environment that reflects meticulous horticultural standards and sustainable practices. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic outdoor setting, applying your gardening skills to transform landscapes into stunning natural retreats. Responsibilities Maintain and cultivate garden beds, lawns, shrubs, trees, and flower borders using hand tools and power tools to ensure healthy growth and vibrant displays Monitors for disease and insect damage and weeds. Reports problems to supervisor and then treats as directed. Fertilizes plants, shrubs, and trees on a seasonal basis Monitors irrigation needs, waters as directed and reports problems to supervisor Assist in nursery operations including planting, transplanting, watering, and monitoring environmental conditions for optimal plant development Operates equipment such as trimmers, hedgers, mowers, edgers, and sweepers. Reports maintenance needs to supervisor Drives motorized vehicles to traverse club property Qualifications Completion of High School education or equivalent required Possession of a valid Driver's License or the ability to obtain prior to hire. Please note, a driver's permit is not acceptable Ability to meet physical requirements as determined by position to include but not limited to ability to lift 50 pounds, walk long distances, work outside in varying weather conditions Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions in English and be able to communicate in English Ability to perform assigned responsibilities with minimal to moderate supervision Ability to perform groundskeeping work including but not limited to transplanting, cultivation, pruning, and trimming of plants, shrubs, and trees Please note that due to the working hours and the need to drive a golf cart, applicants must be 18 years of age or older. Preferred Qualifications Proven experience in gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance with a strong attention to detail Previous experience in groundskeeping work including the transplanting, cultivation, pruning, and trimming of plants, shrubs, and trees Experience working with professional gardening or landscaping equipment Join us as an Estate Gardener and bring your enthusiasm for horticulture to life by shaping breathtaking landscapes that inspire admiration.
