Landscape & Maintenance Associate

Landscape & Maintenance Associate Gardenista Jax specializes in designing and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces through expert landscape design, plant and planter installations, and ongoing routine maintenance. We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented, and motivated individual to join our team as a Landscape Installation & Maintenance Associate.

Position Summary:

As a Landscape & Maintenance Associate, you'll support our outdoor maintenance, landscaping, and planter projects by installing GardenistaJax landscape designs and caring for plants, planters, and container gardens at client sites in the Jacksonville Beaches area and surrounding communities in Jacksonville. This role combines hands-on plant care with physical outdoor work and offers opportunities for growth and training within a creative, supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance Duties:

Visit client properties to perform plant and landscape maintenance. Water, prune, and remove damaged leaves or branches. Clean and clear plant areas of debris, leaves, and fallen materials.

Installation Duties:

Assist with installing plants, small trees, shrubs, and container arrangements according to provided designs. Dig planting holes and move soil, mulch, and rocks as needed. Relocate, carry, and place planters on porches, patios, and other designated areas. Ensure plants are installed securely and aesthetically according to the project design. Assist with material pick-ups and deliveries to job sites. Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools and equipment.

Requirements:

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Willingness to travel within Jacksonville Beaches and surrounding areas. Mileage is not coverage. Ability to transport plants and materials using your own vehicle when needed. Must be able to pass a background check. Good physical fitness and stamina; able to lift 50+ lbs and stand, bend, and squat for extended periods. Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. Familiarity with basic gardening tools and techniques. Strong attention to detail and dependable work ethic. Good communication skills and proficiency in English. Ability to follow detailed instructions and respond positively to feedback.

Compensation & Benefits:

Starting pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour (based on experience). Performance review and potential pay increase after 30 days. Training provided. Prior landscape installation experience preferred. Experience with power tools preferred but not required. Flexible schedule to accommodate work-life balance. Hours and schedule may vary greatly. Average is 10 hours per week with opportunities for additional hours as business continues to grow. Opportunities for advancement within our growing company.
