Grounds Keeper (Tennis)

JOB SUMMARY

: The Field Club features 9 underground irrigation Har-Tru tennis courts (7 are lit). Primary court maintenance duties include but is not limited to: Sweeping, rolling, scarifying, re-surfacing (top dressing) the courts as needed with sliding material or Hydro blend, fixing lines, installing new nets, windscreens, and other court equipment as needed. Replacing light bulbs, etc. as needed. Overall maintenance of buildings and courts fall under this person's domain.

JOB DUTIES

- Below are a few of the most important duties for the maintenance in our tennis department:

Security/Emergencies:

Making sure all entrances & exits are secure (Tennis & Wellness): Notifying Director & Manager of any security/emergency issues.

Equipment Upkeep:

All Cart Maintenance:

(1 cart), Cart cleaning - Appearance, tennis courts filters daily maintenance, painting fix hardware as needed, maintaining brooms, lutes, line sweepers, rakes in good condition and notifying Director of Tennis when upgrade or replacement is needed.

Tennis Courts:

Sweep, roll, groom daily, top dressing with course blend material, patch as needed, weed kill and removal inside and outside the courts as needed.

Playground & Pickleball Courts:

Daily upkeep of playground and pickleball courts.

Trash Removal:

Make sure all court trash containers are emptied on a regular and timely basis. Blowing pathways daily, cleaning ice machines daily as well as tables and chairs (dust removal),

Other:

Excellent "Handy-Man" type person. Must be trained in working with power roller, must have an affinity for working outdoors (the clay-court maintenance requires a lot of time) and must not be afraid of hard physical labor. Bags of clay weigh 50-80 lbs. Dependability, honesty, and an excellent and consistent work ethic are the main pre-requisites for this position. All employees receive a free meal each shift.
