Tree Climber / Groundsman (Hybrid Role)

Overview We are seeking an experienced Tree Climber who is also willing and able to perform groundsman duties as needed. This is a hands-on, physically demanding position in Sarasota, FL for someone who is dependable, safety-focused, and capable of working efficiently with minimal supervision. This role is best suited for a versatile team player who can climb when needed and also work on the ground to support the crew and keep jobs running efficiently. Responsibilities Safely climb trees using proper climbing and rigging techniques for pruning, trimming, and removals when assigned Perform groundsman duties including dragging brush, chipping, cleanup, and job site support Operate bucket trucks, chainsaws, chippers, and related equipment safely and efficiently Assist with tree removals, rigging setups, and general tree care work Maintain job site safety, protect property, and communicate effectively with crew members Inspect and maintain climbing gear, rigging equipment, and tools Work efficiently while maintaining professional standards on all job sites Follow instructions and complete work without constant supervision Requirements Proven experience as a professional tree climber required Strong knowledge of rigging, pruning, and removal techniques Ability to perform both climbing and ground work as needed Experience operating bucket trucks and tree care equipment preferred Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required Ability to work outdoors in Florida weather conditions Must be physically capable of demanding labor and lifting heavy equipment Valid driver's license required CDL or arborist certifications are a plus What We're Looking For We are looking for dependable, experienced climbers who can also support ground operations when needed. Pay:

$25.00 - $40.00 per hour
