Good Choice X-pert Tree Service Overview Good Choice X-pert Tree Service is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and safety-minded Experienced Tree Service Groundsman for a contract-to-hire opportunity with opprotunity for advancement to Crew Lead . This position will begin as a 1099 independent contractor opportunity , with the potential to transition into full-time or part-time W-2 employment based on performance, reliability, safety practices, attendance, work ethic, company needs, and mutual fit. The ideal candidate will have prior tree service experience and be comfortable working outdoors as part of a crew. This position requires experience assisting with tree removal, trimming, dragging brush, feeding chippers, job site cleanup, operating or working around tree service equipment, and following safety instructions in an active tree work environment. This is a hands-on field position that requires physical strength, attention to safety, and the ability to work well with climbers, operators, drivers, and crew leaders. Compensation Contract compensation is $200-$250 per day , based on tree service experience, equipment experience, reliability, safety practices, availability, and overall qualifications. This is currently a 1099 independent contractor opportunity . Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and other business-related obligations. Benefits are not currently provided during the contractor period. If a contractor is later offered and accepts W-2 employment, compensation may transition to an hourly structure and will be reviewed at that time based on the position offered, experience, performance, company policies, market conditions, and benefits eligibility. Contract compensation is up to $300 per day , based on experience, CDL class, driving ability, tree service experience, leadership ability, availability, and overall qualifications.

GROUNDSMAN

Required Qualifications Applicants must: Be drug free Be legally authorized to work in the United States Have reliable personal transportation Have a valid U.S. driver's license preferred Be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening Have prior experience working as a tree service groundsman or in a similar tree service, landscaping, land clearing, or outdoor labor position Have experience working around tree service equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, ropes, trailers, skid steers, and hand tools Be able to safely drag brush, move logs, feed chippers, rake, clean up debris, and assist with job site operations Be able to follow directions from the crew leader, climber, equipment operator, or supervisor Be dependable, punctual, safety-conscious, and professional Be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Be physically able to lift, pull, carry, rake, drag brush, and perform demanding outdoor labor throughout the workday

GROUNDSMAN

Preferred Qualifications Prior tree service groundsman experience Class A CDL highly preferred Clean driving record Experience feeding brush into a chipper safely Experience working around climbers, rigging, ropes, falling limbs, and active removal zones Experience using chainsaws, pole saws, blowers, rakes, hand tools, and other tree service equipment Experience assisting with tree removals, trimming, chipping, stump grinding support, hauling, and cleanup Experience working around skid steers, bobcats, cranes, bucket trucks, grapple trucks, and trailers Ability to drive or back trailers is a plus Live within approximately 30 minutes of Stockbridge, GA 30281 GROUNDSMAN Scope of Work Contractor may assist with: Dragging brush and limbs to the chipper or designated staging area Feeding brush into the chipper safely and properly Raking, blowing, and cleaning job sites after tree work is completed Moving logs, debris, branches, and equipment as directed Assisting climbers, operators, drivers, and crew leaders during tree removal and trimming operations Maintaining awareness of drop zones, equipment movement, rigging operations, and job site hazards Safely operating or assisting with tree service equipment and tools based on experience and qualifications Helping load and unload tools, cones, signs, ropes, saws, fuel, and other job site equipment Keeping work areas clean, organized, and free of unnecessary hazards Assisting with traffic control, cones, and job site setup when needed Helping protect employees, customers, property, and the public by following safe work practices Assisting with hauling, chipping, cleanup, and general job site support Supporting shop or yard duties when mutually agreed upon, including washing trucks, organizing tools, cleaning equipment, mowing, weeding, and maintaining shop grounds

CREW LEAD

Have a clean driving record Be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening Have experience driving manual transmission commercial vehicles Be able to communicate clearly with crew members, supervisors, climbers, equipment operators, and customers when needed

Preferred Qualifications Class A CDL highly highly prefered Experience operating skid steer loaders, bobcats, chippers, chainsaws, and other tree service equipment Experience backing trailers Tree service, hauling, land clearing, heavy equipment, or construction-related experience Prior crew leader or foreman experience Willling to obtain and mantain certifications Live within approximately 30 minutes of Stockbridge, GA 30281 CREW LEAD Scope of Work Contractor may assist with: Driving commercial vehicles and equipment to and from job sites Backing trailers and safely maneuvering trucks/equipment as needed Working as both a leader and active member of the tree service crew Supporting tree removal, trimming, hauling, chipping, and cleanup operations Safely operating or assisting with tree service equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, skid steers, trailers, cranes, bucket trucks, grapple trucks, hand tools, and other related equipment, based on experience, qualifications, and job site needs Helping maintain a safe and orderly job site Communicating with crew members, climbers, operators, and supervisors Helping manage daily job site workflow Assisting with tool and equipment organization Maintaining and tracking tools and equipment used daily Helping ensure tools and equipment are kept in safe, organized, and working condition Supporting safe job practices to help protect employees, customers, property, and the public Assisting with shop or yard support tasks when mutually agreed upon, including washing trucks, organizing equipment, mowing, weeding, and maintaining shop grounds Safety Expectations All contractors working with Good Choice X-pert Tree Service are expected to follow applicable safety rules, OSHA standards, job site requirements, company safety procedures, and customer/site-specific requirements.
