Landscape Laborer / Landscape Maintenance Technician Big Island Landscaping and Maintenance LLC - Hawaiʻi Island Overview Big Island Landscaping and Maintenance LLC is seeking a hardworking and dependable Landscape Laborer to join our growing team. This position involves outdoor work maintaining residential and commercial properties throughout Hawaiʻi Island. We are looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and is willing to learn. Experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right individual. Responsibilities Lawn mowing and edging Weed whacking and vegetation management Property cleanups and debris removal Hedge and shrub trimming Tree trimming assistance Planting and landscape installation projects Herbicide application and weed control Leaf blowing and general property maintenance Loading and unloading tools, equipment, and materials Operating landscaping equipment safely and responsibly Assisting with fence repairs and other outdoor maintenance projects as needed Qualifications Ability to work outdoors in Hawaiʻi's weather conditions Ability to lift 50 pounds or more Dependable and punctual Positive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable transportation to and from job sites is required Valid driver's license preferred but not required Experience in landscaping, farming, ranching, construction, grounds maintenance, or other outdoor labor is a plus Preferred Experience Experience operating: Weed whackers Lawn mowers Leaf blowers Hedge trimmers Chainsaws (preferred but not required) Pay $16-30 per hour depending on experience, work ethic, reliability, and overall job performance. Probationary Period All new employees are subject to a 30-day probationary period. During this period, compensation will begin at $16.00 per hour. Employee performance, work quality, reliability, attendance, attitude, and ability to work safely and efficiently will be evaluated throughout the probationary period. Upon successful completion of the probationary period, pay may be adjusted based on experience, skill level, work ethic, reliability, and overall job performance. Schedule Part-time to start Opportunity for additional hours as business grows Flexible scheduling available Hours may vary depending on weather, workload, and project scheduling Additional Information This position involves physical outdoor labor. Applicants should be comfortable working in sun, rain, mud, and uneven terrain. Travel to various job sites across Hawaiʻi Island may be required depending on project location. Employees are expected to report to work on time, ready to work, and able to safely operate equipment and tools.
