As Hawaii's oldest private member-only golf club, we're known for our timeless charm, world-class course, and deep-rooted sense of community. Now, we're looking for a Groundskeeper to help us preserve and enhance our beautiful grounds. Local candidates strongly preferred, candidates must be available for an in-person interview.
Summary:
This position is responsible for supporting the maintenance of various areas around the golf course and club grounds. Through the direction of the supervisory staff, you will help prepare the golf course for play, and maintain tools & equipment properly while working with the guiding principles of honesty and respect. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Mows greens and tees with walking mowers. Whips debris and repair ball marks on green. Top-dress, with proper sand, tee and fairway divots. Fills sand in divot containers on tees. Rakes and edges all sand traps Cut cups and moves tee markers as trained. Uses motorized line trimmer and hoovering mowers to trim grass in various areas. Weeds, prunes and waters any turf and landscape areas, as assigned. Pick up debris, as needed. (i.e., leaves, branches, paper trash) Operates carts and utility vehicles for hauling debris, material and tools. Maintains ropes, stakes, and signs. Assist in sodding greens, tees, or fairways. Assist in aerating and top-dressing greens and tees with proper sand. Assist in irrigation, drainage, landscape, and other projects as needed. Assist in any storm damage clean up and repairs.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license (must be able to operate manual/standard vehicles) Ability to operate standard shifting equipment. Ability to use good judgment and to work in a responsible and safe manner. Ability to follow oral and written directions.
