The employee spends most of the time in the field completing various landscape related tasks. This position works with a crew under the direction of a Crew Leader and occasionally given tasks to complete with limited to no direct supervision. Day-to-Day Stuff Perform work requested by the supervisor, in the timeframe requested, to the level of professionalism expected by members of Team Perficut Duties include mowing, trimming, edging turf areas and blowing off hard surfaces/structures, weeding, planting, cultivating, cleaning, raking, cutting, trimming, wildlife management, removal of trash and debris Adherence to quality and safety standards Demonstrate willingness to learn how to operate equipment and tools needed to perform daily tasks. This is an introduction to crew-specific equipment Operate and maintain equipment in accordance with safety and quality standards Communicate professionally with business partners (vendors, clients) and internal employees Evaluate and report conditions that detract from the safety or aesthetic value of the property Perform just-in-time, light maintenance on equipment, as needed, in the field Effectively communicate with supervisor, crew leader, and crew workers Accurately record hours worked on a daily basis, in accordance with expectations Meet deadlines and follow instructions and expectations expressed by supervisor or crew leader Snow and ice removal duties during the Winter Characteristics Needed to Succeed Valid driver's license with eligibility to be added to Company's auto insurance High school diploma or equivalent is preferred Ability to acquire pesticide applicator's commercial certification within 45 days of hire Demonstrated ability to process and follow instructions Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a team Ability to learn how to use tools and equipment meeting operational safety standards Ability to understand and carry out verbal or written instructions Must be able to work in a safety aware environment Ability to work in all types of weather conditions Regular and prompt attendance required; Ability to work outside regular business hours as needed Prior experience helpful but not required Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be expected to work outside in all types of weather conditions; conditions include occasional extreme heat exposure due to natural climate.
