Wage:
$19.45 per hour Boise City/Ada County Housing Authorities (BCACHA) is seeking a reliable and motivated individual to fill a seasonal, part-time Maintenance Groundskeeper position. This position assists with maintaining the appearance, safety, and cleanliness of Housing Authority properties throughout Ada County. The successful candidate will have general knowledge of landscaping and grounds maintenance, the ability to safely operate power equipment, and the ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather conditions. A valid Idaho driver's license and safe driving record are required, as travel between properties is a regular part of this position.
Duties:
Assist in keeping Housing Authority properties free of trash, debris, and other hazards. Operate landscaping and maintenance equipment, including weed trimmers, chainsaws, blowers, and similar tools. Load, unload, and transport debris, materials, and equipment to disposal and work sites. Perform light sprinkler maintenance and landscape work. Clean gutters on buildings, including work performed from ladders up to 10 feet in height. Assist with the pickup and delivery of appliances and maintenance materials, including carrying items up stairs to secondfloor apartments when necessary. Assist maintenance staff with general property upkeep and special projects. Perform other related duties as assigned. Physical Requirements This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, carrying, climbing stairs, and working outdoors in all weather conditions. Employees must be able to safely climb ladders and perform work at heights up to 10 feet. The ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds is required. Additional Requirements All applicants must successfully complete a background check and drug screening prior to hire. Benefits This is a temporary seasonal position and is not eligible for benefits.
