Nampa, ID Job Details Full-time | Contract $21 - $23 an hour 7 hours ago Qualifications Snow removal Outdoor work Grounds maintenance and landscaping safety protocols High school diploma or GED Driver's License Driving Power tools Full Job Description Inspect, maintain, and repair campus irrigation systems, including valves, heads, controllers, and line leaks. Plant, prune, and maintain trees, shrubs, annuals, perennials, and turf in accordance with campus landscape plans. Monitor plant health and diagnose problems such as pests, disease, nutrient deficiency, or irrigation issues; recommend appropriate corrective actions. Safely apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides in compliance with state regulations and campus safety procedures (applicator license preferred). Operate and maintain grounds equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, utility carts, tractors, and other specialized tools used by the Physical Plant. Assist with snow and ice removal operations including shoveling, plowing, sanding, and salting to maintain safe access to buildings and walkways. Maintain clean and orderly shop, storage, and work areas. Follow all campus safety policies and use required PPE at all times Perform other duties as assigned by the Grounds Supervisor or Physical Plant Director.
Minimum job specifications:
Experience in landscaping, horticulture, groundskeeping, or related field; campus or institutional setting preferred. Working knowledge of irrigation systems, plant health care, and grounds maintenance practices. Ability to operate a variety of landscape and power equipment safely and effectively. Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform outdoor physical labor in all weather conditions. Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Valid driver's license required; ability to meet campus driving standards. Ability to work occasional early mornings, evenings, or seasonal overtime for snow removal or campus events
Pay:
$21.00 - $23.00 per hour
