Greenskeeper

South Shore Golf Course, located in Chicago, IL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Greenskeeper! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Role Type:

Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)

Compensation:

$18-21/per hour.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skill:

Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills Must be highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented Must possess the ability to design, coordinate, and maintain landscaping on the golf course Must possess the ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course maintenance Skilled in seeding, fertilizing, mulching, and general ground preparation for restoration and renovation Must be dependable

Responsibilities:

Maintains clean and organized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facility Mows greens, approaches, fairways, rough, tees, and other areas Waters tees, greens, and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water Repairs the irrigation system, pipes, and irrigation heads as necessary Grades and prepares soil base; lays sod and seeds greens, tees, and fairways Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds Applies pesticides and fertilizer to the golf course Performs related duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager
