PART -TIME STREETS, ALLEYS, AND CEMETERY MAINTENANCE OPERATOR (Seasonal)

Overview •This is a seasonal position. Employment ends by October.•Join our team as a Part-Time Streets, Alleys, and Cemetery Maintenance Operator and play a vital role in maintaining the beauty, safety, and functionality of our community spaces and cemetery. This energetic position offers an opportunity to work outdoors, perform a variety of maintenance tasks, and contribute to the well-being of residents. This positions primary focus will be the cemetery; however, you willl be actively involved in landscaping, groundskeeping, and infrastructure upkeep, ensuring our streets, alleys, and cemetery grounds remain pristine and accessible. Duties Assist in performing perpetual care duties in the cemetery Assist in burials Repair streets and alleys with rock and/or bituminous asphalt erect and replace street signs and posts keep City right-of-ways clean and in good repair Cut weeds, shrubs and trees, pick up leaves, clean gutters and catch basins assist in maintaining public property to include buildings, vehicles and equipment. Requirements Mechanical knowledge with experience operating lawn care machinery, power tools, and hand tools. Knowledge of landscaping practices including mowing, gardening, and general landscape maintenance. Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions; stamina for standing, walking, bending and lifting heavy objects. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards promptly. Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards maintaining community spaces efficiently. must be able to use hand tools and various small power Valid driver's license required
