GOLF MAINTENANCE
The grounds crew at Kokopelli Golf Club perform daily routine maintenance of the golf course including but not limited to; operating small walk-behind and riding mowing equipment, raking bunkers, landscaping, and construction projects, use of hand tools related to maintenance, and occasional operation of tractors and loaders.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Daily course set-up includes walking mowing greens and tees, raking bunkers, setting tee markers, mowing fairways & roughs, cutting cups, hand watering, and sweeping cart paths. Assisting crew members in the application of fertilizers and chemical applications under supervision of a licensed applicator.
Irrigation Management:
Monitor soil moisture levels, assist in programming and repairing irrigation systems, and perform manual hand-watering in high-stress areas. Assisting with a variety of projects on the golf course related to construction including drainage installation, silt fence installation and maintenance, erosion matting, hydro-seeding, laying or hand watering new sod, seeding greens or tees, leveling irrigation heads, and bunker maintenance. Ensure all tools, equipment, vehicles, and supplies are properly used, maintained, and stored. Maintain a professional appearance and attitude while working around members and guests. Maintains positive interactions with club members and guests, providing a high level of customer service. Performs other duties as assigned by the Golf Course Superintendent or other members of the senior management team, as deemed appropriate.
KEYS TO SUCCESS
Safely operate hand tools and power equipment related to maintenance of the golf course. Perform daily responsibilities on the course in all weather conditions. Ability to work individually and as a team with other crew members. Follow written and oral directions from supervisor/manager. Prior experience operating outdoor power equipment including walk behind mowers, chain saws and trimmers. Must be dependable and available to work on weekends, nights and/or holidays based on business demands. Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance.
