Athletic Fields Technician/Groundskeeper

Athletic Field Technician/Groundskeeper Shift available: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm (weekends as needed) National Management Resources has provided facilities management services for over 40 years. We work in educational settings, including K-12 facilities, boarding schools, colleges, and universities all over the country. We offer competitive wages. We are looking for an Athletic Field Technician to conduct all daily work activities; to include mowing, weed trimming, watering, fertilizing, seeding, painting and striping for all athletic fields and trash clean-up of designated athletic venues.

Athletic Field Technician/Groundskeeper Responsibilities:

Conduct the daily cleaning and maintenance of Athletic Fields/Facilities. Ensure that all fields are prepared for games and/or practices. Ensure that all fields are marked in accordance with NCAA rules. Schedule pesticide applications for all athletic fields. Maintain a schedule of all preventive maintenance on all equipment assigned. Diagnose and treat problems on all athletic fields. Maintain an irrigation schedule on all athletic fields & diagnose /fix any problems that arise. Provide knowledge and input needed to Grounds Supervisor about athletic field conditions as it relates to the safety of the athletes. Use knowledge of turf grasses and athletics to make decisions about the needs of the playing surfaces. Be actively involved in the care and maintenance of the athletic fields. Athletic Field Technician/Groundskeeper Qualifications Must have a valid driver's license Lift up to 50 pounds Work from ladders Climb stairs Stand or walk for long periods of time. Stand, walk, sit, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. Work in an outdoor environment, with exposure to inclement weather and varying temperatures.

Minimum Work Experience:

3 years' experience as an Athletic Field Technician or Groundskeeper Passing a Drug Screening and Background Check is required for employment.
