Responsibilities Assist with landscape installation projects, including planting trees, shrubs, and flowers with precision and care. Operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery such as excavators to prepare sites and complete tasks efficiently. Perform landscape maintenance duties such as mowing lawns, trimming trees and bushes, pruning, and edging to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal. Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or blockages and making necessary adjustments or repairs. Support snow plowing operations during winter months to ensure safe access for properties and pathways. Help with hardscape installations like patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other outdoor features. Conduct routine gardening tasks including soil preparation, fertilizing, weed control, and pest management to promote lush landscapes. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment. Knowledge of lawn care practices, landscape maintenance techniques, and horticulture principles. Experience with tree care including trimming, pruning, planting, and health assessment. Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting. Ability to operate small construction equipment such as excavators safely and effectively. Understanding of gardening fundamentals—soil preparation, planting techniques, pest control—and hardscape construction.
