Turf Maintenance:

Mows greens, tees, fairways, and roughs; performs aerification, topdressing, and verticutting.

Course Setup:

Changes hole locations (cuts cups), moves tee markers, and maintains daily aesthetic standards.

Bunker & Hazard Management:

Rakes sand bunkers, edges, and weeds hazard areas.

Landscaping:

Plants trees, shrubs, and flowers; trims trees and hedges; and maintains flower beds.

Irrigation and Repair:

Assists in repairing and maintaining the irrigation system, including repairing heads and pipes.

Equipment Operation & Care:

Operates tractors, mowers, loaders, and chainsaws. Cleans, services, and stores equipment after use.

General Maintenance:

Cleans, fuels, and inspects equipment; removes debris; fills divots; and repairs ball marks.

Required Qualifications and Skills Physical Stamina:

Ability to walk, stand, lift heavy objects (up to 50-60 lbs), and work in all weather conditions.

Mechanical Aptitude:

Ability to safely operate various types of motorized equipment.

Flexibility:

Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays, often starting before dawn.

Experience:

Previous experience in landscaping or groundskeeping is frequently required, with knowledge of turf management techniques.

License:

Valid driver's license.

Working Conditions Environment:

Primarily outdoors, frequently exposed to sun, rain, and heat.

Supervision:

Works under the direction of the Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendents.

Hours:

Early mornings are standard to ensure the course is prepared before play begins. There are full time and part time seasonal positions available.

Pay:

$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
