Landscaper

Bayou Irrigation, Inc. is a licensed and insured commercial construction company located in St. Amant, Louisiana. Our projects primarily consist of, but not limited to, landscaping, irrigation systems, earthwork, and erosion control systems. Bayou Irrigation provides services for clients operating in both privately funded, state and federal sectors. Our staff has over 35 years of operational experience. The only way our company will succeed is to have a strong force of workers ready to help each other plan, execute, and review each project and continue to move forward.

Position Qualifications:

Professional experience in landscaping, irrigation, or construction. (References Required) Good written and verbal communication skills. Enthusiasm for working outdoors and in various weather conditions. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery. Be able to lift in excess of fifty (50) pounds of weight. Pass a drug test and background check. GED or High School Diploma. US work authorization, must file I-9 and pass employee verification. Personal and individual daily transportation. Louisiana driver's license and clean driving record. If you do not have a driver's license and a personal vehicle, please do not submit a resume.

Responsibilities and Activities:

Arrive to work on time, on schedule, and ready to start the day with enthusiasm. Each workday will begin with signing in, attending orientation, and tailgate P.P.E. safety inspections. Perform maintenance on company vehicles, trailers, tools, and clean the shop. Load/unload all necessary equipment, tools, materials for the day. Receive training while on-site during work schedule. Perform all instructed duties for the installation or demolition of, but not limited to, landscaping, irrigation systems, earthwork, and erosion control systems. Maintain attention to detail in your work. Maintain and promote safe work ethics and practices. Assist the site supervisor/foreman to accurately prepare field reports and records. This position will require a minimum of forty (40) hours of work each week, with the possibility of overtime. This position will require working in different inclement weather for the hot summer days to the freezing winter nights.

Salary

• $38,000.00
• $71,500.00 (Depending on Experience) Job Type
