Summer Grounds Crew Posting Details Position Information Title Summer Grounds Crew Position Description The Grounds Crew performs a variety of manual labor tasks in support of BSU's groundskeeping. This position will assist with the day to day activities involved in grounds maintenance including but not limited to: sweeping raking weeding picking up litter weed whacking other duties as assignment The hours for this position are Monday - Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge and skill in landscaping and landscaping tools helpful, but not required. Physical Demands Groundskeeping requires physical activity and the ability to perform manual work in diverse outdoor environments and weather conditions.

Common demands include:

Standing or walking for long periods Bending, kneeling, and squatting repeatedly Lifting and carrying heavy materials such as soil, mulch, equipment, or debris Pushing and pulling equipment like mowers, carts, and spreaders Repetitive motions such as raking, shoveling, and trimming Working outdoors in a range of weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, wind, and humidity Strong stamina and physical endurance to complete tasks throughout the shift Special Conditions for Eligibility Please be aware that employment at Bridgewater State University is contingent upon completion of a successful background check.
