Responsibilities Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, and trimming trees and shrubs to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for tasks such as planting, edging, aerating, and installing hardscape features Maintain lawns through mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and irrigation system adjustments to ensure lush greenery Assist with snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways safe and accessible Conduct routine inspections of landscapes for health issues or hazards and address them promptly Support construction projects involving landscape installation or hardscape features like patios or walkways Perform general maintenance on equipment such as excavators, lawnmowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems to ensure optimal operation Qualifications Basic mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery safely Experience or interest in lawn care, gardening, landscape maintenance, or horticulture is preferred Familiarity with landscaping techniques including tree care, pruning, mowing, and soil preparation Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina for lifting and manual labor Knowledge of irrigation systems and snow plowing equipment is a plus Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to landscape upkeep and safety standards Prior experience with construction or hardscape projects is advantageous but not required
