About the Role As a Porter / Groundskeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the overall appearance, cleanliness, and curb appeal of the apartment community. You'll help ensure residents and visitors experience a clean, safe, and attractive property every day. This position is ideal for someone who is reliable, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a maintenance team. Key Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness of common areas, breezeways, hallways, stairwells, and amenities Perform daily groundskeeping duties, including trash and debris removal Assist with dumpster management and trash compactor areas Sweep, blow, and maintain sidewalks, parking lots, and outdoor spaces Help prepare units and common areas for inspections, tours, or events Assist maintenance team with light tasks as needed Identify and report any safety hazards or maintenance concerns Uphold community standards and provide a positive presence on-site What We're Looking For Previous experience as a porter, groundskeeper, or janitorial support preferred (not required) Strong work ethic and attention to detail Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift Dependable, punctual, and team‑oriented mindset Positive attitude and willingness to learn Why Work with BG Staffing?
